 Green screening: Lana
Superimposing an image on a green screen is simple when using editing software. Begin by capturing a green screen image and then drag the desired background image on top of the screen. The background will then become the desired image while leaving the foreground objects in tact. The software used to edit the image also ensures the edges of the objects have no traces of the green screen.

Google Forms and Sheets

Facilitator: Jess Henare

Google Forms and Sheets

Facilitator: Chris Bell

One way to make concepts relevant to students is to have them collect their own data. Google Forms can make use of a variety of question types to gather information in an organized manner. Forms can also be customized and personalized. All responses are automatically collected in a Google Sheet, which makes data analysis easier. Some teachers even use Google Forms to quiz their students.

Explain Everything

Facilitator: Sarah-Jane Stevenson/Kariene Gardiner

Explain Everything is essentially an app with a whiteboard type screen that allows users to record audio (and now video), write, and move objects all while recording in real time. The end products can be pictures, videos, are even template projects.  Explain Everything allows users to annotate any object on the iPad with the touch of their finger. It makes it easy for kids and adults to capture their screens and share it with virtually anyone.
