 Cliff Whitelaw
Cliff Whitelaw ­- Chairperson
Cliff is a Chartered Accountant and director of Chartered Accountants Whitelaw Weber Ltd. He is the past Chairperson of various boards including Mataka Station in the Bay of Islands. He is a past Far North District Councillor and has been a Business Mentor. He has been heavily involved in many community organisations. Cliff brings to the trust extensive experience in governance and business.
 Laurie Byers
Laurie Byers of Kaikohe, served 18 years as a District Councillor, 3 as Deputy Mayor. He was chairperson of District Development, Works, Hearings and the District Plan. He was an RMA Commissioner with Chairperson endorsement. He was a trustee of Sport Northland for 9 years, and a Life Member of Kaikohe Golf and Squash Club and a NZ Olympic and Commonwealth representative. He has served 23 years as a trustee of North Point Trust for Mental Health and Ministry of Social Development. He was a Lion for 22 years, is a Justice of the Peace and was awarded a QSM for services to the community.
 Alec Jack

Alec Jack is a 48 year old beef & dairy farmer from Pakaraka. He and his wife Kelly have 4 children aged between 8 and 13 years old.

As a Massey University graduate, a Ballance Farm Environment Award winner, and a Nuffield Scholar, Alec has been involved in local farming leadership through:  

·         PPCS North Island Suppliers’ Council (Northland Rep)

·         Meat & Wool NZ Monitor farm program (Monitor Farmer)

·         Beef & Lamb NZ Northern Farmer Council (Deputy Chair)

·         Waitangi Catchment Collaborative Stakeholders Group (Public Interest Rep)

Alec currently (2015) chairs the Board of Trustees at Ohaeawai Primary School.
 Tony Liefting

My partner and I have a dairy farm in Tautoro, 12 kilometres south west of Kaikohe . We have a ten year old son Anthony who goes to Tautoro school.
 Karleen Everitt
Karleen has a Masters in Management from the University of Auckland (Business School) and currently studying towards a PhD in Indigenous Business Leadership.

She is the CEO of Manaaki Solutions Limited and COO for Te Putea Whakatupu Trust. She serves as a Director of Northland Inc, NorthTec as a Council Member and humbled to be a trustee for Kaikohekohe Education Trust.   

She is especially proud to call Tai Tokerau (Northland) home.  Her whakapapa is to Te iwi Morehu, Te Aupouri, Ngapuhi-Nui-Tonu. 

She has previously held other governance roles in Tai Tokerau in the Iwi commercial sector of fisheries, asset management and her marae.  She acknowledges having been blessed to have grown up with amazing strong wahine around her and they are forever in her heart and mind when she makes decisions.  

Karleen is very proud to own her own business in Tai Tokerau and the mahi she does for her whanau, haahi (church) and iwi.  She is honoured to be able to contribute to the Kaikohekohe Education Trust, a game changer in education today for our future.
