Welcome to the Kaikohekohe Education Network (KEN) site, home to a cluster of six schools in Tai Tokerau partnered with the highly successful Manaiakalani programme. Together, we aim to provide an equitable and enriching learning environment for all students.
The Kaikohekohe Education Trust supports teachers within KEN schools in achieving their primary goal: advancing education by developing the capacity of children and families through learning in Kaikohe, its surrounding areas, and ultimately across Tai Tokerau.
Explore our site to discover what’s happening for teachers and students across our network and learn how you can get involved.

Our Learn, Create, Share pedagogy supports students to share their learning through their blogs. Teachers and parents are encouraged to read students blogs and leave them a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment. We provide guidelines on how to comment on student blogs, which you can see here. Blogs can be accessed via your school site page or by clicking here to view our Edublog Feed .
Our Manaiakalani Facilitators are also available to support teachers via Google Meets, text or email.
