Staying Connected

During the course of the year the Kaikohekohe Education Network KEN teachers meet several times for professional development around Manaiakalani's Learn, Create, Share pedagogy.

This professional development is a mix of Toolkits, Professional Learning Groups PLG and Manaiakalani staff meetings. The Learn, Create, Share pedagogy of Manaiakalani is backed up by research from the Woolf Fisher Research Centre.

Writing Moderation.

Twice a year our cluster get together and take part in Writing Moderation.

Term 3 Manaiakalani Staff Meeting

Our staff meeting for term 3 focused on the Share element of the Learn, Create, Share pedagogy. Deborah and Kerry ran three staff meetings across the cluster which were well attended by teachers and principals. There was plenty of time for discussion around how students share on a one to one basis, to a group, a crowd and then to the wider world. We collated some examples of sharing to a crowd which is shared in the pdf on the right.
