Math Moderation

Our cluster goal for 2023 was to bring in some form of math moderation into our cluster. Each school chose a math leader to attend PD at Ohaeawai school and through this PD we have been able to breakdown the LPF and PACT tool and build our teachers capabilities around identifying student progress and coming to a shared understanding of what that looks like. Our first cluster moderation meeting went really well and all teachers who attended were able to have in depth discussion around identifying student progress. As these moderations continue we hope to build a exemplar resource bank for teachers to use as a tool when moderating within school or when assessing students.
